It is still hot and we just logged the hottest September on record here on the Front Range, but the fall color is still respectable. I've made it a point to get to a few balloon festivals this year after missing them the last couple years, and we had a great time. Balloon festivals are the only events I photograph, mostly because they are like a moving landscape and provide unique opportunities to showcase color and scenery. We enjoyed beautiful scenery in the San Juan mountains and Pagosa Valley as well as closer adventures in Summit county. New images can be viewed in the Colorful Colorado Gallery.

Our fall road trip this year will include the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and Texas Panhandle region, so stay posted for more great views in October as well as the annual calendar release in November.
