I'm Byron
This is my attempt to declare the glory of God that is all around me. I have lived my whole life in the Rocky Mountain West of Colorado and am humbled by the beauty surrounding me. The staggering splendor and diversity of the natural world, as well as our ability to acknowledge it, is a supreme testament to a wise and good creator. Most of my photos are a product of dragging my family on road trips no sanity loving parent would attempt. I attempt to document the world around me in an honest and compelling way that is inspiring but still relatable. Ultimately, photography is an exercise in the reproduction of God's light, of which I have the privilege of documenting and sharing.
"TheĀ heavens declare the glory of God and theĀ firmament shows His handiwork"
Psalm 19:1 (NKJV)
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
John 1:1-5 (ESV)
Gear
Pentaxians. The few and the stubborn. I still enjoy the DSLR experience with Pentax's unrivaled optical viewfinders. Most of my images are produced with the following equipment, but there are quite a few odds and ends or old prime lenses that are utilized at times:
Pentax K3-Mki Body (discontinued)
Pentax HD Pentax DA* 11-18mm f/2.8 ED DC AW Lens
Pentax HD-DA 16-50mm f/2.8ED PLM AW Lens
