It has been a busy Summer, but I finally managed to finish the image processing from the last leg of the trip. Yosemite was busy and the weather conditions were very dry, which made photo work challenging. The waterfalls were a treat as well as the unparalleled granite formations. Despite constant bear warnings, the wildlife was quite sparse aside from the usual common birds and rodents.
Tioga pass was a welcome relief from the crowded valley and offered stunning dome hikes, lush meadows, and pristine lakes. On the way off the pass, we spent an early morning at Mono Lake to admire the exotic tufa formations and watch the sunrise before heading through Death Valley to briefly experience near 120 degree summer heat.
Many new images are now in the Western Pacific Gallery.
We are headed to Aspen-Snowmass to hike the Maroon Bells and watch the Balloon Festival later this September. Hopefully the weather cooperates!
